France Carcassonne holiday rental house - We are sure that if you know then you will certainly know, or have heard of it. It is a town of about 45,000 inhabitants in the Region of Languedoc Roussillon, on the River Aude and Canal du Midi. It is centrally located in the medieval city (La Cite), just under the towering walls of the Cite Medievale (a World
Heritage site). It is a typical French town in a quiet street of terraces. The Bastide (later town) is only 12 minutes walk over the old bridge where there are many restaurants, shops and a market 3 times a week.

It has tiled floors throughout and is furnished in French style. Electric convector heaters provide warmth in the cooler months. Parking is available “on street” outside.
It is for four persons, is situated in the medieval city (La Cite), just under the towering walls of the Cite Medievale (a World Heritage site) and 15 minutes from Airport. There are cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. There is also free local transport between La Cite, nearby, and Bastide St Louis during the main tourist season.

Discover the Lac de la Cavayère!

If you walk all the way around the lake (in about an hour) you'll discover a wide variety of landscapes and environmental conditions, from freshness to aridity, from woods to wastelands, from shadow to full light. You'll notice this region's three dominating hues: blue, green and ochre. In the middle of the lake, you'll see a bird's island used for the nesting of ducks and other aquatic species.

The lake of la Cavayère is not just for taking a stroll. It is also a health resort, an amusement park, a place where adults and children can have fun, a special place where you can relax within a stone's throw from Carcassonne.

Swimming: • Only in life-guard supervised areas delimited by buoys between 12:30 and 7 pm.
