There are cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. There is also free local transport between La Cite, nearby, and Bastide St Louis during the main tourist season. It has tiled floors throughout and is furnished in French style. Electric convector heaters provide warmth in the cooler months. Parking is available “on street”. We are sure that you have heard of Carcassonne. It is a town of about 45,000 inhabitants in the Region of Languedoc Roussillon.

Dining Room/Kitchen
	The Living Room leads into the Dining Room and Kitchen. From there, you have access to a large courtyard which is filled with small trees and plants, a Barbeque, a sun canopy, table and chairs so that you can enjoy the ambience of outdoor dining “al fresco“.
Shower Room / W.C.
	A shower room, including a washing machine, with wash hand basin and toilet is on the ground floor and is accessed from the staircase area.
2 Bedrooms
	The polished wooden staircase leads to two double bedrooms. The main bedroom overlooks the street and the room at the rear looks out onto the walls of the medieval city.

There are many places to visit in the area, apart from Carcassonne which is a “must”, including Beziers, Pezanas (for antiques), Perpignan, Montpellier, the vineyards of Minervois and Corbierres, the Montagne Noir (30 minutes away), the Pyrenees of the Ariege and Andorra (for skiing, walking and climbing), and of course the beach is less than one hour away at Narbonne, to name just a few places.

Traveling
The quickest route is via the AutorouteA1/Paris/A10/A71/ via Orleans/Limoges/Chors/Toulouse. However, if you would like to deviate and visit the Auvergne then see the following recommendation. - Bed & breakfast / Chambre d’hote in the Auvergne

The lake of la Cavayère is not just for taking a stroll. It is also a health resort, an amusement park, a place where adults and children can have fun, a special place where you can relax within a stone's throw from Carcassonne.

Swimming: • Only in life-guard supervised areas delimited by buoys between 12:30 and 7 pm.
